In this article, we will go over the Supported Protocol for Try-In Bite Adjustments using stone models.
Please follow the next steps:
1. Please adjust it accordingly until the patient is comfortably biting down, and keep the new bite in place with a bite registration mousse.
2. Download the designed case, by opening the case on the platform, and clicking “actions – download files – finished scans – download”.
3. Open your 3Shape Dental System. Right-click and select "Advanced" and then "Import".
4. Once the designed case is imported, right-click on it and select “copy – copy and reuse CAD design”.
5. A new file will be generated from the designed file. Right-click on the new case, and select scan. It will then prompt you to rescan the new bite and to align it to the design of the try-in.
6. Then export the case by right-clicking “advanced – export”.
7. Open the existing case that’s already on the platform, go to file, scroll down to initial scans, click on it, then upload (by doing drag and drop) the new compressed zip file that was just scanned and exported.
8. Once it’s uploaded, go to the Actions tab, and select Redesign. A message box will pop up, type in the
adjustments that were physically made to the try-in, and any other adjustments (examples: change shade to B1, longer/shorter teeth specifying teeth mould, midline, etc.) and type please send final files.
9. The case will then be sent back into the needs approval folder, where the case will be sent back for approval and can be looked over a final time. From here you can “approve and manufacture” or download the files for in-house manufacturing.
