This article outlines the process for customers who wish to submit 3Shape orders using materials other than the official FCDC material. This option is available exclusively to customers who are sending 3Shape orders.
This process also applies to partial dentures, that fall under the standard denture offering.
Important! For order creation cases, we will set them up with our internal default material and manufacturing process, resulting in STL files. We cannot set up orders with materials other than FCDC on behalf of customers.
Testing Process
-
The customer creates a 3Shape order, specifying their desired material and manufacturing process, and submits the case to DSP.
Important: Ivoclar and Dentsply materials are not allowed for use under the standard denture offering, those types of cases will need to be submitted under the regular denture offering.
2. Our design team receives the design case and starts with testing.
3. The material may either be approved or rejected.
Criteria for Approval
-
Proper setup of the 3Shape order, including appropriate selections, object types, scans, materials, and manufacturing processes.
-
Error-free design without any software-related issues during all design stages.
-
Successful export of the try-in and final without any issues.
If Rejected:
-
The design team will place the case on hold, and notify the support team, who will then communicate with the customer.
-
The customer may need to cancel the case and resubmit an entirely new case with a different material for testing or with FCDC.
If Approved:
-
The customer is added to our official list of approved customers for the specific material.
-
The design proceeds as usual and is sent to the customer for review and approval.
Important: We do not alter orders. We strictly follow the customer's selections on the order, and the software will export accordingly.
