Whenever you send a case through the Automate integration from the Dental System, you will need to accept either of these options if you want to download the case:
In this article we will go over the main differences between the options "accept as is" and "accept for editing" on automate:
Solo Die vs Die
What we call solo-die will be only generated once we "accept as is". If you need this specific variation of the die a good workaround is just to use the built-in editing tool that is within Automate, that way any minor changes needed can be done and the customer can still click "accept as is" to have it generated this way.
(Solo-Die) The main differences are the height of the die and the embossing that it will have.
On the other hand, if you click "accept for editing" no solo-die will be generated, this is because if the intention would be to change the design, the die generated prior to the changes will not fit properly after the adjustments are completed. Once the editing of the design is completed, you will be able to produce the regular die from their dental manager by generating the cam files, please note this die will be different and it will follow the specific settings you have set for die generation under the dental system.
(Regular Die) No embossing and height difference.
Please see the difference between both processes for the output of the respective files:
Manufacturing folder
Another difference is the fact that once you click "accept as is" the manufacturing folder for the case will be generated automatically, on the other hand, if you click "accept for editing" you will need to generate the cam files from the dental manager.
Editing from the dental Manager
Besides the differences we mentioned before, you will always be able to edit or redesign the cases once you have imported the designs to the dental manager, no matter if you selected "accept as is" or "accept for editing" please keep this on mind.
