Sometimes there are small areas where Automate does not fill in the crown material, we can refer to these areas as holes in the design; even though it is always good practice to check the margin line, if a hole is present in the middle of the design and not coming from the margin line, this solution will likely not work as it would be more related with the scan data than the margin line being marked.
Look at this example on crown #3, you can clearly see the hole coming from the margin line in the distal area:
You can see it more clearly by going into the 3D viewer and changing the transparency setting for the upper arch:
Once you have confirmed there is a hole, go to the "Repair Gingiva and Margins" option on the top center:
In this example you can see a relation between the margin line and the hole in the design:
Using the "prep line" tool set the margin line to the correct position and click apply:
After loading you should have the hole filled:
Again, please note this will only work if there is a hole coming from the gingiva due to the margin line, if your case has holes in the middle of the design it will be more than likely that it is caused by missing data on your scans, please review your scanned data and try to fix it if that is the situation you are under.
