In this article, we will go over how to send an Automate Bridge.
We’re excited to introduce automate Bridges for customers submitting complete orders via 3Shape Dental System (versions 2021–2024) or Exocad.
IMPORTANT:
STL files alone are not accepted.
This indication is currently available in the US only, with support for additional countries coming soon.

How to Submit a Bridge Design Case to 3Shape Automate
Open your browser and navigate to https://automate.3shape.com. Sign in using your account credentials.

If you're using the 3Shape Dental System, go to your Profile Settings and uncheck "Uploads and Downloads via Integration".
This ensures your case is processed correctly through Automate.
3. To export a case, highlight the one you want to send, right-click to open the context menu, select "Advanced," and choose "Export" to begin the process.
4. In the Export Complete 3Shape Order dialog, choose File as the export method.
This will generate a complete order package suitable for submission to 3Shape Automate.
5. Choose Save Location
6. Configure Design Settings:
Design Parameters: Gingiva Distance, Connector Strength, Pontic Shape, and Turnaround Time:
Drag-and-drop the order ZIP to the gray area at the bottom of the page, or use the ‘browse for zipped order folders’ link to search for the case on your PC:
Once the case is designed and approved, the CAM output will be generated.
You can make edits using the Cloud Editor. Currently, only anatomy and margin lines can be adjusted. Scan sculpting and bite adjustments are not supported at the moment.
Please note that cases cannot be re-imported into the software after editing.
Note:
To send additional case types, such as crowns, inlays/onlays, and copings from Dental System to Automate, you’ll need to enable Uploads and Downloads in the integration settings. You can do this by navigating to the Settings page and turning on the integration feature.
