In this article, we will go over sending a Guided Implant Surgery Case to the 3Shape Design Service Platform for design.
Please follow the Steps Below:
1. Click on "Create New Case".
2. Click on the "Guided Surgery" category and choose your indication.
3. Create your case by filling out the information required.
- Case name, Teeth/Arches, Add-Ons, Turnaround time, Additional case comments (Minimum Instructions Required: Brand of Implant and if Guide should be Fully Guided or Pilot Guided.) case files, and production options.

Tooth Born Guides
- Requires the CBCT scan of the patient and surface scan of the arch where the implant will be placed
- Requires the instructions for the case:
- The sites where the implants will be placed, the brand of the implant, and if the guide should be pilot-guided or fully guided
Tissue Supported Guides
- Requires the Dual Scan Protocol
- Two CBCT scans were scanned on the same day. The first CBCT scan is where the patient is wearing their denture with radiopaque markers and the second CBCT scan of the denture by itself with the radiopaque markers in the same position.
- Requires the instructions for the case:
- The sites where the implants will be placed, the brand of the implant, and if the guide should be pilot-guided or fully guided
Bone Supported Guides
- Requires the CBCT scan of the patient
- Requires the instructions for the case:
- The sites where the implants will be placed, the brand of the implant, and whether the guide should be pilot-guided or fully guided. Please also indicate in the instructions: Bone Supported Guide.
4. Click on "Review Case Details" double-check the case information and then click on "Create Case".
Once the case is designed you will get it back for review and all the files will be available for you to download.
